Great work with an amazing sense of humor! You are very prolific and have good consistency as well. Thank you!!

David Mihaly
Great work - the Diary Series in particular looks impressive

Doug Knowlton
Beautiful work, Vick. And you're right, these guys do a great service for artists. If I've created a handmade book, do I get to post my artwork, too? :> Doug

Clay Bodvin
Very smart colours and textures...I wonder what what would happen if the painting were 4 feet in size instead of 10 inches...?

Lynda Lehmann
Lots of really vibrant work here, Vick, and I love your sassy and creative titles!

Bernice
Bravo Vick!!! What an exciting website! Thanks for sharing it with me. I'll be checking on a regular bases for new additions and news. Best wishes, Bernice

I like your work very much. I can certainly identify with your vigorous use of your painting knifes! I enjoyed looking at your work from years back. It is nice to see that evolution. Thank you for your very kind remarks yesterday. It was nice to hear from a fellow Floridian. I do paint with brushes and knives. I use high fire enamels (which are made up of silica glass and metal oxides). They are called Paradise Paint. They mix more like regular pigments whereas traditional enamels do not. Most of the paintings are fired at least three times. The surface treatments usually consist of sgraffito and/or sandblasting with some glazing. Pine oil is the medium I use. Since you are a painter, you will understand my initial dilemma when I say that the consistency of the enamel is somewhere between spackle and drywall. I ran into a large learning curve when I began using them! My mark-making took a nose dive until I developed a feel for their application. The pine oil really thins the pigment so I use it more conservatively than I would a regular medium. Thank you again. Best regards, Terrie Corbett
