My motto - colour is a seen octave of a sound. Colour is transfer of feelings from The artist to the spectator. I draw not subjects, phenomenon, event. I'm a premiere artist too and just wanted to say that I thought your work was really gorgeous! I love color too. I especially loved the spontaneity, power, line quality and, of course, color in your paintings. A pleasure to view. Lots of good luck in the future.

Dear Mr. Bernard:I've just read the messages you've received and I want to add my voice to the raves. Your work is the finest I've seen for a long time and I've listed your web page among my Favorites for easy aand frequent reference. One of the many things that struck me about your work is the way you manage to avoid the harshness and plastic look that many acrylic paintings have compared to oils. Getting a soft edge between adjacent colors is a bitch! Your reviewer mentioned that you mix your own paints, is this your secret? I'd be interested to know how you go about this. Also I'd be interested to know if your superb choices and handling of color is pre-planned and based on a color theory or do you rely strictly on intuition as your paintings develop. It's agony for me to look at your paintings on my monitor and not have the money to buy them but alas, I'm a poor painter! Thank you, Mr. Bernard, for sharing your wonderful and exceptional gift with a world filled, unfortunately, with bad art.All the best,Jim
