Artist Statement:
Art is an arrangement of
color, texture, and form.
Dealing with these three
elements seems to encompass
every aspect of my life and
their expression directs my
art and energies. In my quest
for the proper texture and
form for my paintings I have
discovered a material akin to
paper maché that allows the
depth of texture I’ve been
looking for without the need
to completely dispense with a
flat base. My forms come from
nature in one aspect or
another and color from within.
These mixed media paintings
tend to say what I need them
to and my technique improves
as the elements I need to
express grow more complicated.

Enjoy....

Anna Marks
Hello: I purchased two large paintings in 1980 that are signed Hendrickson/1980 (no first name). I have searched for the artist for years and I'm hoping it is your work. The paintings appear to be a set, but I purchased them individually. Both are mixed media with a paper mache' type material. The first is painted in lovely shades of lavender, blue and white . Appears to be a view from a Roman Palace where the viewer is inside the room looking outside. The material is draped across the entire top of the painting making it look like a Roman valence or curtain (very realistic). Both are quite beautiful and to this day I receive many compliments and questions about the artist which I can't answer. I love your work and I'm hoping you can shed some light on my two paintings. Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
