I guess it is usual for me to
have spaces of time in between
work, just like a pianist the
spaces in between the notes
are so important.

I have no gallery
representation to speak of and
have had many serious solo
shows and now am interested

Hi Eileen,Love your work and style. Do you have any advice for someone who has just started taking private lessons in painting. I am 42 years old and have realized that I am happiest when painting or drawig. What would you suggest to someone starting so late in life as an artist?

Karin
Girlfriend, you have the midas touch. Just love your paintings. You are a true artist. the best of luck.

your gaze is engaging, personal yet distant, like a journal in the third person....i would like to see the work up close. i enjoyed looking through your portfolio, and i got the feeling of looking through somebody's history.i have a space in my studio for gallery shows. i am presently working on a more serious venue along the gulf coast somewhere between MS and Florida. i would like to show your work, so i'll keep in touch, OK?ciao

Dianne

Eileen, helloThis is the first time I have admittedly sat down and checked out your Wide Variety of paintings. I have a couple comments to make, but as a friend I am going to be very frank and forthright. Some of your images almost have a dark, macabre, funhouse like feel to them. It's a perspective altering look at the subject which JUMPS out at the viewer. Not wanting for you to disclose and perhaps take away some of the magick of your works, but .....do you do this intentionally? Some faces, forms, bodies, shapes....come through symetrical -whereas others are specifically skewed or off kilter in a manner that seems to desire to throw the viewer into questioning perception visually within themselves.Maybe I am taking it all too far or all too A Literally. Artists and Virgo artists tend to do such things. But I wanted to tell you I am Highly, Highly Impressed!Tasha

Eileen, I am a good friend of Anglena's. I love your style and the portraits you have done of her and your grandma. It would be great to have you create a portrait of the two of us sometime. Hope to meet you one of these times at I am at Angie and Jay's. Regards.

Elaine Karton
Dear Ms Doman, I just needed to tell you how much I admire your paintings. I just returned from the Outsider Art Show in NY and wanted very much to see more of your work. I love these paintings. I am a 'struggling' artist ,still at 52, trying to find my 'voice'. Yours speaks so clearly to me with such heart felt sensitivity and whimsey.

Chris Ternand
WOW!!!!!!

Edwin Vogt
You have an extradinary gift in selection and color. To incorporate an intrigeness in each of your works requires a high level of originality and imagination. I find myself staring at each painting for long periods of time. That is the best compliment to an artist!

evelynPS
If you are reading this and have not purchased a Doman, which is an excellent investment, you will be kicking yourself in time to come. I ask...what are you waiting for?? EyE....it's gettin better all the time. Breathtakingly inspiring color, form laughingly titilating compositions.

Pamella Haynes
Your message here I want 2 tell u I feel u. I love ur art and can understand why u have made the decision 2 become an artist. I 2 have had a difficult time trying 2 realize myself as an artist w/out the financial validation. I am considering getting on this web site, but first I need to get a printer scanner fax to down load paintings and get a body of work (whatever thar is) Right now I have about 11 pieces. But I heard that a body of wrk is 20-30 pieces. Also I am interested in selling prints. Well I'll stop now. Hope 2 here from another artist. Oh I am also in Illiois, Matteson.WAVKAN

True artist. Rare in ladies-painters. Exceptional. But this is still ealry stage, she will develop even more. Seldom case when painter takes a photograph, as a basic for her canvas and still manages to turn it into the true artwork(which most can't achieve with copying from photos).

Donald Paul Polk
Madame E.: Again, I am caught by your resonance with people. Only a person who is a bit of a hermit at heart could manage to see such definition of the moment in the faces of people. Background is simple and too many find the devil in the details. You move faces to a forefront not often allowed in a mass media market where all is the picture and one drinks in moments to avoid losing perspective. You make a focus and keep it in the lines and wrinkles and sometimes the bare smoothness of an unblemished moment without deviating from the overall effect. Background is only background. It is heartening to see this arrival boosted by a strong willed and competent artist. I believe in you! Respectfully, DPP

Dr.O.P.Joshi
Dear Eileen, your style is uniqe and very infuential. You give thoughts to viewers and creativity is part of your paintings. I like and appricte your works very much. O.P.Joshi

Hello Eileen. I continue to browse through your work. 'Continuing Fallout' took me aback (had a different impact - very humerous). It's wonderful. I really like the shape of the pigs snout from the mask and the peeking eyes. Very clever. Best wishes to you. Love your work, Davinia.

Linda Dennis
It was great to see the video of you in the studio Eileen. Nice big studio! Love your work. Linda Dennis

Guenter Kolkhorst
Dear Eileen, I am very lucky about the purchase of the Sherman Gray in Owensboro. This beautiful picture is fixed to the best place in my private collection and all visitors have seen it said it is a very seldom and great kind of art which enters the brain in spot. Thats true and the reason to be very proud about to have it. Thanks forever, Guenter

Davinia Hart
I continue to LOVE your work and will continue looking. Great studio you have. Best wishes, Davinia.
