Artist Statement:
I have been producing art
in
photography,painting,sculpture,
and recently on a
computer-which I excitedly
found can include all the
first three. I find that the
best of my creations are the
ones which show emotion.
Otherwise the work is just
another picture. So, many of
the pictures...

Thank You for Your Guestbook entry... and website info....prompted me to go straight to Your site and enjoy Your body of works. All Your pieces challenge thought... Great work. 'Fire'.... was the one for me, that 'hit' .. Outstanding work.

I am a Florida artist writing a proposal to do an installation on the weather at an Anchorage gallery. How much of an influence are the harsh conditions of Alaska on your work? I know the weather in Florida (hurricanes, etc) are definately impacting on what I paint as well as what I paint. Just wondering if that was the case in other extreme weather areas.

I was directed to your work by my Mentor, Luise Mignon Andersen. I will thank her for the heads up! Your work is very inspiring, I've been afraid of playing in photoshop, afraid it wouldn't be ART. Well, you have allayed my fears. Puberty is great! All your works are very enlightening...showing the insides of a complex human. I will put myself on your e-list!

Oct.9,2006- Hello, from California, Don- Visited your portfolio at absolutearts.com for several hours again. I always enjoy your beautiful photography, like your eye for natures fantastic unusual shapes and colors, textures, within the most 'hidden'unexpected places you discovered. Humans in/at various stages in their lives, not misrepresented as someone they are not (unless you place them in your surrealistic 'world' for thought provoking reason) . Many of your digital art pieces 'strike' me as surreal, as well as your paintings. In most, I find the expected, very personal direct, meaningful represented conditions I myself try to avoid in life..or seek- certainly provoke me to think and feel. I am pleased, that your portfolio expanded. Thank you Don, that you did not send the skull with the requested foto of the housefire to Indonesia.. this was good considerate foresight (smile here) in your case (or is it 'this' case ?).. Best, Luise 'Mignon'

Feb. 27,2007- Thanks for 'alert' of new digital artworks, Don.. Have to say.. now I have several new favorites.. besides 'Fire..'... The war..peace.. passion.. and several others.. !!! Also still enjoy the stars..series.. ;-) Look forwards to series of future works. Best, Luise 'Mignon'

LA MIGNON
June 23,2007- Your Video 'Paulette'- YOU DID IT, PRINCE. How..you did it..I am going to find out exactly ;-) pronto!! This is great!! Your extreme 'signature' all through it..' My fire hues'(meaning yours), the intensity in your works.. then sensitivity.. Congratulations.. Have to go back to it.. and 'see'.. Paulette .. what an homage to the Queen Of Heart.

This is a great photo of Elijah that I drew, designed and sculpted with my team of 4 guys. Any chance you would send a copy of this photo to me. I would appreciate if you would title the piece Elijah and credit the artist of the sculpture. Jeff Stahl Louie Manzoni Jeff Blier Dan Rebholz
