Artist Statement:
In elementary school, I
was trained to draw, but I
just couldn't do it. I tried
to make faces, animals, cars,
and buildings, but everything
I did never came out the way I
wanted it to. In the sixties,
I entered high school just as

You have the technique down, that's for sure. I'm not sure I like some of the ideas, though. Especially that voyeur piece. Gives me the creeps. But the 1st nude, that's unbelievable! x's + o's, Virgey

Hey, i really like your sculptures, the pointy one is great (horrible decription but ive forgotten what its called :)) Im not so keep on the oil paintings personally but the sculptures and lovely :)

David Thomas
Your sculpture is remarkable in the extreme. Rare indeed is the artist who is not afraid to walk the pathways mastercraftsmen traveled in the past. I love your bigger work the best.Keep painting. Study the color chart and keep it close while you paint. Your answers are there. Complimentary colors vibrate at different speeds and trick the eye into seeing depth. Analyze old master paintings up close. They don't use the color you think they should. It's all about the complimentary colors.Forgive my suggestions, I only seek to save you time. Think of painting more like you laying down multiple lenses vibrating at different speeds that create the apperance of three dimensional sculpture.peace,d.

i want to know what it is that gives you inspiration and what you do when you sense it. How soon after it come do you start to work it? Do you work it till it's finished? How do you know when to stop? Or when to start? Do you work many ideas or one at a time. I wish I could feel how you feel when the art spirit hits you. Is it for money or fame or love that you work? Respectfully--Mark

Hi Andrew, Your figure sculptures are superbly made. I especially like the ones which are being born out of the matrix of stone. Like human fossils, they show their earthly course natures and also their refined spiritual side, both intertwined. Moebius Knot used as a glass table base is magnificent!Best from Anton in Sydney, Australia.Check me out on this webside too.

Hey Andrew -Your work looks great. I still remember the artistry you performed on my dads porche in pound ridge. Charles

Andrew, Your work is sublime. Here is the rebirth and reclamation of our artistic heritage and culture. Here is both the bellezza e la terribilita, where grace and brutality combine to form the most compelling works of art. This is an artist of firm resolution and unflinching compromise in a world where compromise of vision and excellence have defined the modernist experience.

john t. faley
andrew - your sculptures look great. I like the fish. Send me an E-Mail after you return from your wedding/honeymoon. john

Mykola Kirichenko
Thank you for bringing your work for us to appreciate. I love to carve in stone but my works are not nearly as refined as yours and more on the abstract. I am attempting to complete some figurative work but lack the initiative and drive to complete them. Your work is Wonderful. Where is your studio located? I am in the US. If you have time please visit my website at www.atelier94.com

Emily Marie
Your hand brings forth both thought and grace from the stone. Within the pieces there resides a silent twin -dwelling of light and darkness, like a hopegiver contemplating despair.Beautiful renditions of life.
