Artist’s Statement
I believe my Art to be a visual landscape, of the mental imagery, of ideas, of feelings and of many answers to questions unknown. I choose to reflect ideas relating to various ways of defining human understanding of reality through visual means.
My work is based on trying to understand our environments, our perceptions, our questions, all in relation to, our selves.
The visual medium of painting (whether it is by hand or creating images on the computer) works wonders for the exploration of these ideas.
I mix ideas with intuition plus a dose of so called reality and or fantasy.
From what we know, I am trying to find myself constantly by fusing ideas and art throughout my life and work.
The goal of my artwork is to create a rich visual experience that will leave one wondering about the question itself. Whether the questions are valid, whether the answers are adequate, whether even satisfying the mind is necessary.
For this reason a major focus of my work is challenging by the use of visually abstract patterns, and non co-operating colors, abrupt brush strokes evoking sublime thoughts.
Movement of the mind is necessary ...
