Artist Statement:
My art is a private
perspective on life, private
pains and
disappointments, society,
Death and a philosophical look
at life.
Death is the source for
creation and the motor of
life.
Crucifixion a symbol for pain,
pain caused by social,
political and
religious systems.

I think that art is another
way to communicate, to express
my ideas , for me art should
have a message of a sort.
This is the way I saw art when
I was a little boy trying to
express his Ideas with simple
drawings, and this is the way
I see art when working on my
digital art or writing poetry
today. Some times I ask
myself, if we can reach people
through "reason"! but I think
its better to get to people's
hearts through emotions,
through ART, and from there we
might get to their reason. Or
maybe use extremes in art -
and that is what I usually try
- in order to make people
think and ponder after their
emotions become tens. Then
their analyses might bring
with it reasoning.

In this work of art called

all these factors are

This picture has a very impressive atmosphere connecting life and death in a very subtle way, whereby the fantasy of the viewer is being activated in different subjective directions. The hands stretched out of the grave represent for me the nightmare which brings the murdered back to life in the inner eye of the very person who wanted this life to be erased and forgotten for ever. This could symbolize all atrocities committed against individuals and groups in order to take away what they possess. The dead will wake up one day, at least in the mind of their murderers. Very impressive.Dr. Edward Badeen

Hi Hisham,I am not in any ways qualified to provide feedback on art, so all I can tellyou is what I see and feel. There is obviously a lot of talent in your work, and clearly you project alot of suffering and anger. It is very personal and very revealing (andhence brave).Ami

Greetings from Firenze,I checked out your website. I use thecomputer to create some of my images that I then paint I have yet to create3d images like yours, it is a new field and like all new techniques it haslots of room to grow. That is one of the reasons that I stick to oilpainting. It is a medium that has been developed for hundreds of years andits techniques have been extremely well developed. Good luck with youartwork. It is people like yourself who will make the first breakthroughs ina medium that will become the most popular in the future.all the best,Matthew Bates

I have been following the development of Hisham's art for some time now .what impresses me most is that one indentifies one's self with opposing elements in life , which the artist represent in symbolic objects. For example : The picture illusion reflects for me a deep meaning of contradicting things . Beauty and innocence are represented in this picture by white flower . Egoism and social boundaries are represented by a restricting metallic chain . This very contradiction is what makes the picture .kholoud

Dear Hisham, Dance is erotic. Hands emerging under the cross imply either resurrection or a zombie horror movie. The pictures are interesting on one hand but can also be interpreted has the unknown in a hostile zone. Personally I'd like to see more serene pictures. People with difficult life would prefer a serene attitude to life. The motto is Denk positiv und alles wird gut. Ich gluabe an das gut. The peoples job is to complete G-ds creation which is an the incomplete somethimes cruel Nature. Can that motto be embodied in your work ? Perfecting the imperfect. Perfecting by medicine, charity, genetic engineering (which can be also abused). I would like to see positive ideas in your work and I don't find it. It is missing. If you become more positive, your works will be published and will also appear on international stamps. You also need someone to make the breakthrough in public relations. Life is a stage and we are actors. Success and especially in art requires the correct politics. It sucks but it's real. Welcome to the real world. Your works reflect high professional capabilities. What is missing is a different attitude. People often

Dear Hisham,What caught up my attention is Sleep. The hovering coin or disk is seen asthe opposed to sleeping because it isin the air and there is no rest in the air.The Dance is erotic and uses a Freudan symbol of the female genitals, the cave/holeetc. It is like a crave for intimacy. But why is the background atmosphere of theyour works so gray ?It should have more jolly atmosphere.Rabenna Maa'k,Mabruk,Geulla shlema be gashmiyoot ve beroochaniyoot,Eytan (Ethan) Suchard.

I am fascinated by the work of Hisham Zrake!!!!!! The work diplays such original environment in the themes he chooses to create!!! The piece,Life, just stunned me!!! Hisham Zrake's work is beyond the analytical perspective so local to digital, surreal art. He absorbs your thoughts into his work creating a perfect morphogenesis with his subconscious and yours!!!! Great Work,Hisham, keep all the scattering digital dada in perfect flow,it helps us evolve!!! Peace and Love,Your Friend,Keith Wigdor USA 2001

Very interesting work, though the pictures are a little bleak. The technique is very good and you have reached a real realistic image, though the style in general is surrealistic, where you were able to express your unconscious feelings. I wonder why most of your pictures are of religious substance. Anyhow your pictures evoked deep feelings which most of them were of anxiosness nature. Good luck and best wishes.Yehuda Kliger, amateur artist.

There's no doubt, dear Hisham, that you're a most talented painter. From the first glimpse I was powerfully impressed by your art but it takes much more than one look to fully get the feeling, to try to sort it out; it attracts like a magnet as it incorporates a lot of manifolds and levels. It uncovers and discovers a whole world, real though fantastic. I can't deny that it's disquieting but is our world, exterior or interior, tranquil, peaceful, fair?! Your art is overwhelming, highly imaginative, versatile. Nobody can remain indifferent when put face to face with it and this is a lot. The paintings have real substance, convey ideas, contain symbols in an interesting and intriguing way, some are very dynamic, controversial and also trigger thoughts and feelings.Another thing I like are the colors and their combination: aesthetic, powerful, virile. You are a great master of your art and the techniques.I liked very much your new paintings as well. They are brighter, literally (in colors) and figuratively (in content). Absolutely lovely!I wish you good luck and great success! You certainly deserve it and are worth it!

I like your work very much. I think it's good when you can put your passions and philosophy into visual terms, it gives you a great source of inspiration.

Thank you, Hisham. I was able to visit for awhile this a.m. Your artistic skill is exceptional...of course. I'm simply restating the obvious. But, Hisham, in my opinion, you have a talent which is even rare in psychologists and philosophers. My goodness, one almost needs 'scuba gear' to 'dive' with your mind into those images. (I'm sure you've been told this before, Hisham. It's something I needed to say as well, though).Visiting your art work, Hisham...is an adventure!Ira

I LOVE your work! I am so honored that you appreaciate mine.Your sensitivity impresses and inspires me to no end. The path that your Life has taken, where you come from (your Ancestors) and the intensity with which you present your thoughts, goes to my Heart and Soul.Much of the same symbolism is in my consciousness.

Sincerely, Carrie B
I've found that I can't just glance at most of your work, that it demands much more time to be taken in. It's also that your work is very similar to what I used to paint and draw - those things which can only truly come from the knowns and unknowns within the mind. I say used to because everything in my studio was destroyed 7 years ago then, a year later I injured my spine which prevented me from even signing my name until almost a year ago. When I started drawing again, I found myself sticking to 'safe' subject matter for fear of not being accepted or taken seriously as an artist. I too am self taught without any credentials of any sort so I've been reluctant, to say the least, to break away and just expressively create. Just being able to connect with some of your work has given me the courage to at least give it a shot. So, I owe you a thank you and will try to come back when I can sit, study some of your pieces for a length and give you the feedback that you do deserve. Thank
