Artist Statement:

As a realistic sculptor I have
often been accused of running
against the tide of the more
modern and abstract movements,
but if you take a good look at
the work the design is
abstract. The look of the work
may be, at first glance
academic or classical, but

Dear Martin, I admired your new work. it is imaginative and original, somewhere halfway between the real and the unreal and very poetical. My favorite is Dry Rock. It is full of contrasts. Between warm and cold, soft and hard, pink and white, smooth and rough, finished and unfinished, life and death. It is very good. (portfolios/p/pauline)

I think you used a real human and made a cast. Tell me where I'm wrong.

Robert Zerilli
Hello Martin, Love the site but there's nothing like seeing it in person. I'll be coming in for my 1st. lesson 7/16/02 at 10:00 AM. I am looking foward to seeing you. Sincerely, Robert Zerilli

Great work. Take to you later.

Hi, it's the kid who chatted with you on the Lewes-Cape May ferry. I find all your pieces to be exemplary and insightful, but my two favorites would have to be your two most recent : tude and genesis. I hope I can make it to one of your galleries sometime and see a few in 3-D technicolor up close and personal in the flesh. Oh, and take a gander at http://ryot.deviantart.com if you get bored. Thanks, and Good Luck!

Your art has inspired me to go furture in sculpture, have you ever considered air raided cement with a ceramic sculpture design??

Ty Carpenter
I find your work inspirational. You have achieved the perfection that I always look for in any work of art. Absolutely wonderful work, I especially admire the hands.

Keola Smith

Your work is fantastic, however I am a bit flustered. I'm trying to do a report on you and your work, and can find NO INFORMATION ON YOU, the person. try to post a bio or something, please?

Nick Diehl
sorry about not sending you and pictures yet my email has been kinda funky. I will try to get them sent as soon as i fix the problem. The art school I will be applying to is the Art Instatute of Pittsburg. I hope to here more from you. thank you and good day Nick Diehl

Hi Martin, just wanted to say that I think your work is absolutely brilliant. I know you are usually quiet about your work, but you are a true master. I wish I was wealthy so I could flood my home with your work. I am a real fan. Thanks Gary / Long Island NY

Larry Dunkelman
We sat next to you at Rachel's on Sunday evening, and now we are thrilled that we met such a talented artist. We already admire your work and perhaps someday we can acquire one. Donna and Larry

Your message here Although much of Martin Glick's work is superior, some of the pieces are downright thrilling. There's an effective blend of poetry and strength in the human body pieces, notably the torsos in motion and of course Emerging, and an accuracy of stance and expression in the animal sculptures, such as the iguana, the charming honey bear, and the lizards in Dry Rock (my favorite piece of all). Glick is a master. I hope to be able to view his work firsthand, on my next trip to America.

Brad Michael Moore
Some real wonders here in your figurative sculpture. Excellent quality in all aspects of the work - material, eye, hand, and imagination! Brad Michael Moore
