Artist Statement:
I've always been drawn to nature, in whole or in part — a beautiful view or a tiny mouse, a flower or a farm animal. Influenced by my rural childhood and present suburban surroundings, I paint and draw what's around me, what I know best. My work is a way to revisit scenes from my past and present, to celebrate the beauty and wonder in nature, and to allow others to see things they ordinarily might overlook....

Laurie Jacobs You have beautiful work.
The reason I came across you page is that I am doing genealogy research on the Wambach Family.
My husband is the great grandson of Gertrud (Wambach) Jacobs.
I have a birth date for her as 4 May 1858. Death of 8 Oct 1922 in Okarche Oklahoma.
She married Jacob Jacobs in Chicago in 1884.
Is there any chance this person is related to your family??
