John, I have to comment on your work. Not that I think you need my comments, but because I am impressed enough to do so. I have never liked impressionistic art but I have never seen your work before. I cannot believe the impact your work has on me - hopefully not just on me, but people like me, who are scientific and methodical in their approach to life. I have always lived in the woods. I have been trained as a biologist and I think like one. That has meant to me that man's effort to duplicate the beauty and intricacy of nature has always fallen way short of the mark. I find in your work the same feelings that I have found on the best of my treks at the best of times. I don't know any other way to vocalize the impression I came away with when looking at what you have created, except to say I wish I had the ability to do the same thing myself. John, As one who grew up in a small town, art was a far-away thing that the hoity-toities embraced, along with college degrees and fancy city life. As I progress on through the short time we all have on this earth, I realize art is for everyone-some just don't know it. I still think some people take too much liberty with calling thier (protests?) works art, but I realize the wide range that encompasses this 'art thing' will appeal to a variety of people. When I see your works, I know this is art, and am pleased to have experienced viewing many of your paintings.
