Artist Statement:
When looking at my work the
viewer should consider them as
configurations of spiritual
geography. In this manner I
refer them as
"Interior/Exterior
Landscapes". The primary blue
shape will refer to geological
forms found in geographical
landscape. As such they mark
unspoken borders much like a
rock cairn would. ...

i sent you an email.. and have reviewed your work.. i look forward to hearing from you when you have a moment to spare. its easy for someone to say, oh that's wonderful, fantastic, or cool, wow! but its a seductive and emotive realm you dwell in and i so admire that. thank you. anna stocker

jeanne

J'aime la simplicité puissante de vos peintures.Cordialement d'un artiste françaisTristan Bastitwww.kerys.com/bastit

interesting thought. the idea of spiritual gateways being represented as holes in walls seems to work well even after dismissing the obvious analogy.

Marc A. Schimsky
Doug, I love your work. I find the images inspirational and I can relate well to the intent. I look forward to seeing more. Someone once told me that artists don't buy other artists' work. I wish I could somehow prove them wrong. Good luck.

Franziska Turek
The interaction between light and darkness in your paintings is intriguing - it must be a great experience to see them in real.  Franziska

Thanks Doug, I´m visited your place and I´m impacting with your work. I´m thinking the deeper your art is. Sorry for my english.I would like to know what do you think about premier porfolio Mónica Zacarías to share her art.

Carolyn Thomas
Your work intrigues me. The compositions are strong and beautiful, and I believe your images are succeeding. The idea of pulling together or conrasting geographical forms and human forms is fresh and new to me. Your images immediately caught my attention.

Cheryl Casteen
Brilliant work! I wish I could have seen the installation in person. I'm proud to know you!Best,Cheryl Casteen

How lovely to see your work grow and change accross time, leaping forward with each stroke of the brush; As ever, I remain a fascinated onlooker.Abbie Carver-Smith

Dick Heilman

Hi Douglas...I really like your works and the feeling it gives.

Moustafa Al-Hatter
Hi. well, a star is borne Al-Hatter

Douglas, I find your works interesting, especially engaging for me are pieces like the painting, Interval Series Hairetikos 17, and drawing, Meeting at The Intersection 21. In the paintings where the dark areas have gradient aspect, I feel more of a sense of accessibility (as a layman observer). I see the mixed media pieces as parlaying a more organic sense to me. You have a well-set vision. Continued luck in achieving your goals.

Rene Lieberherr
great works, just beautifull, congratulations from switzerland;-)

Kevin Parratt
Powerful use of this medium, and I imagine that to walk into a gallery showing these works would be a memorable event. Cheers to you Mr Douglas A. Kinsey. Kevin Parratt.

Miss you. Hope you and Anne are doing well. Love your work. I am glad at least one of the guys I grew up with made something of himself. The rest of us stand in mute envy. But, then, we're retired and there is little else to do. I am going to Malibu in October. Wish you were going with me. Later. KGB

Cândida ( Portugal)
UAI Doug, I Like your paint. kiss for you and Anne ( beijos)
