Artist Statement:
“Art making is an exploration
of emotion, intellect,
physicality and spirituality.
It is a manifestation of the
interplay between the
conscious and unconscious
mind. Human beings tend to
have an inherent appetite for
altered states of
consciousness. Art can be a
conduit for this kind of
experience. It can help us to
break free from the
imprisoning models of reality
that we create by our own
minds. Art making is a way to
experience a kind of freedom
from the trappings of rational
perception. It is a method
for counter-balancing the
restricting formalities of
contemporary civilized
existence. Ultimately, art is
a metaphor for the spiritual
and philosophical ideas of
life that cannot be otherwise
expressed.”...

Artist Reviews:
"Excellent work! Vibrant,
emotive, alive and powerful.
I find your work very
Zen...wonderfully serene and
reflective. There’s
translucence to them that
draws the viewer in deeply.
Superb work that has the
delicacy of a haiku yet the
energy of a firework
display...subdued yet powerful
use of color...

David Baker
I enjoy the colors, composition and sense of movement.

Malynda Tucker
I love the motion in play with your work. I admire the control over your lines, allowing some to fade from existence as if to emphasize their current motion...like ripples on a pond.

Scott Brian
Well thought out, nice balance.

Beverly McLarty
Rich and wonderful color! I like the bruising, busy, frenetic making of lines that merge into a beautiful piece. It’s like looking down into a tide pool...very nature oriented feel to it. Makes you think of water…raindrops creating ripples, fish swimming under the water and lots of seaweed. Surface reflections appear over rippled depths...beautiful.
