Having met an artist explain their own art was a new experience; your work is interesting, and I found the stories facinating. I accidently came across your work while researching a homework asignment for my drawing I class. We are only allowed to work with pencil, charcoal, vine etc. We needed to bring in a drawing of a favorite old Mater to get their style etc to try to copy. My favorite old Masters left no drawings behind... Caravaggio, or Gentileschi. So I was just looking at charcoal stuff. Your drawings are wonderful and I appreciate your talent! Sorry... I can't afford to buy one!~Kerry

Randy - very atmospheric renderings. I feel a nice stretching from what your original study works - photo I assume, must be. Though you show few photos – they are powerful as well. I really like the quality of darkness in your primary medium. While it holds a prevailing sense over the image – it doesn’t cloud the personality of the children and others being portrayed – this aspect gives the pieces great power… Continued good works and teaching.

I have a fondness for your work in Domestic Violence, as I too use to be a victim and the first case documented in our county.
