Randy Simmons, I am a student in Florida who just today attended your open house @ SCC Community College. I really found it to be a new, interesting, and facinating experience. Having met an artist explain their own art was a new experience; your work is interesting, and I found the stories facinating. Each piece had a very touching meaning to it; people appreciate a good story. Keep up your quest, and perhaps one day I'll have the mighty privledge to see your work in a metropolitan museum of art. Thank you for making the trip to Florida. Very Mouch appreciated...

I accidently came across your work while researching a homework asignment for my drawing I class. We are only allowed to work with pencil, charcoal, vine etc. We needed to bring in a drawing of a favorite old Mater to get their style etc to try to copy. My favorite old Masters left no drawings behind... Caravaggio, or Gentileschi. So I was just looking at charcoal stuff. Your drawings are wonderful and I appreciate your talent! Sorry... I can't afford to buy one!~Kerry

Jennifer

Once Again Randy, You've got a pretty cool website. In the competitive world of art, pictures of women are always welcome by me. I like some of the satire I see in titles to several of your works. For example Thank you for being a Friend with the crossed fingers. Of course my favorite one 2 good reasons speaks volumes. Keep up the good work. I wish I could add a guestbook feature, mailing list feature, and other items to my own website. Take Care,Robert

Randy, your work demonstrates the difference between real art and merchanedise. Lots of other folks signing this guestbook have said it various ways, but they all appreciate the authenticity of what you do. Paducah is not that far from Tell City, Indiana. Hope to visit there and meet you someday.

Randy, you make the page come alive. Every picture tells a story.

Brad Michael Moore
Randy - very atmospheric renderings. I feel a nice stretching from what your original study works - photo I assume, must be. Though you show few photos – they are powerful as well. I really like the quality of darkness in your primary medium. While it holds a prevailing sense over the image – it doesn’t cloud the personality of the children and others being portrayed – this aspect gives the pieces great power… Continued good works and teaching.

Linda Harper
I feel like seeing drawings on your web site are like seeing old friends, thanks for your talk at Lone Oak High School last week. Knowing the reason behind most of them makes them very special. Thanks again for a wonderful presentation.

Betty Jean Patterson
I want to thank you for sharing your paintings and this web site. I look at them at least twice a week. I have a fondness for your work in Domestic Violence, as I too use to be a victim and the first case documented in our county. And looking at your art gave me a hunger to continue helping every woman I can to stop the cycle of domestic violence in her life. I have shared your work with a younger woman who is being victimized and it made an impact on her. Your children's art work are awesome I can hear the song Teach Your Children Well, by Simon and Garfunkel when I look at some of your work. Your depiction of the love for your family in your art work is so real, for that I commend you, keep up the great work.

Meruzhan
I very much like your thinking which you transfer to a canvas or a paper. Bravo!! I wish you successes.
