Artist Statement
By cultivating my passion for painting I understood
clearly that I use the act, of expressing myself, as a tool to
communicate with my subconscious. This connection allows me to
better perceive and deal with my feelings and existence as a woman.
My paintings allow me to better comprehend my own corporal,
intellectual and sentimental complexities. Their subjects allow
me express my point of view of the global woman issues by
spontaneously illustrating acts, roles and scenes, in my
paintings. These images are then transformed with the
computer, allowing them to evolve in their transformation.
Weaving has made an appearance in my latest work.
This act of connecting strings and fibres is definitely an act of
repairing and of connecting bonds, of family ties.
The imaginary creatures that emerge from the deepest of my
creativity demand to be valued and accepted in this world…

Jack Duke I like the use of the colors and the way they appear to move across the canvas, as does the figure. Is she hauntingly primitive or swaying to a form of jazz all her own? Ms. Delorme leaves that decision to us...most assuredly a move of confidence! The sensuality of this painting leaves me wanting MORE and MORE and MORE!
Theresa Jaded Muse...
Sheryl McCartney Your paintings are a celebration of color and movement, capturing the ever changing mystery of a womans thoughts and feelings...with only a few lines you convey deep emotions. I find not only my intellect stimulated but also my spirit. Excellent work Suzanne!
