Artist Statement:
I am a self-taught artist who
began painting in 1983,
although there were aborted
attempts in earlier years(the
1970's). But not until 1983
did I try putting the ideas in
my head down in paint and
other media, than in writing.
All I see are faces and
figures in everything. I
listened to da Vinci and his
statement on studying stains.
There is this between us. And
lines fluid, broken, jagged
and scratched covering
everything. I attempt to
translate that which is before
me. I'm not even sure this is
how I see it.
It is about the silence....
