Walt, Was looking fondly at Whirlwind, and House A Fire - and your books look like - well I've no idea - but, if you have a video cam - you might take one of your most illustrative books - frame it up and start turning the pages... That'd be great - you could add commentary, and or music, as well. Since you have done so many books recently - how else can we see them - if they are made for public view. Anyways, best wishes in the continuing journey... Sincerely,

Brad Michael Moore
Never mind - I didn't see you book vid until after my entry - I'm a dope - you can delete my entries through your Portfolio Manager. Glad to see you so busy...

They are like works created by extraterrestrials on a faraway planet.

Elena Ray
Your images make me happy. they manage to be both very whimsical and incredibly deep and serious all at once and that feels good. I hope the poet who illustrates your book has such a charm-assuredly it will be a best seller! Good luck and thanks for being so lovely!Elena

As one artist to another, Walter, I think your art is great!!! For personal reasons my favorite work is Measuring the Length and Breadth of Her. Very lyrical--brought a tear to my eye. Kudos and keep on creating.

I only wish I had more time to visit at Bea's memorial. You are one of the few people I have met who seems so comfortable in their own skin. I applaud your craftmans ship but more so for your creative mind. I hope one day we can discuss the themes you choose further.

Linda M. Lamson

Hi Walter. It's been more than 13 years and I am sure it is difficult to remember many of your students. I graduated in 1991 from CCAD. I think about you, Pete Rasmussen and Ban Kajitani often. I live in Los Angeles and work as an interior designer and artist.Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I really like your recent paintings. Let me know if you ever show out here. If not, you should, people buy art like water in LA! Take care, Lisa

Ron Massey
WalterI don't much like crowds, but feel inclined to join this one!I continue to look at these works and remain intrigued.Rightly or wrongly, I've begun looking at them in context of the excellent blogs you've been writing recently and they merge into a webspun whole of mood and magic. It's positive mythology,....(refering to your last blog )mythology like everything having many facets.

Reneaux Ruiz
Dear Mr. King,We met in 1983 through David Goodman. I was living and dancing for the Tuls Ballet Theatre in Tulsa, OK and was present at a gallery showing of your artwork. I purchased an unframed oil on canvas of the Tulsa Rose Garden Arboretum, signed and dated, which I am proud to own and hang in my home. Any chance of an art showing of your works in the United States ? If so, please let me know where and when. Thanks, Reneaux Ruiz, Sacramento, CA.

Walter, I first read your latest blog (all of it and with a cuppa!!) and then was intrigued enough to have a look at your portfolio. Very interesting and thought provoking work you have presented as well as being beautiful to watch.I was quite taken with your descriptions of Columbus artists' survival, ditto here in Melbourne, Australia. Your writing is very very good, let us see more of it!!

Connee Draper
Walter,Your works are amazing. I'm from Chicago too, from the South Side, living in Columbus. I hope you will have an exhibition here soon.

Walt,I had my favorites deleted by MSN while doewnloading at their request a newer version of Hotmail and My MSN IE home page. I spent 3 hours on the phone to India trying to get things straightened out. Since I so nearly lost all of my favorites, I realized that it has been some time since I looked at your site. All I can say is that I am truly impressed by your artistry. Also, your great imagination. How you can come up with all of the ideas for your art is beyond me, but then, I am not an artist. Your growth in your line of endeavor is astonishing. Love. DAd. Oh I likedFlowers to Shawn. Besides many others.

Ellison K. Chung
Hi there, how's things going? Have not hear from you over a year and have been trying to get reconnected again. Do drop me a line when you can. I'll be back to California this coming Fall and will be there to stay. Hope to talk to you then ~ ellison

Margaret Stone
Walt, just read the piece on absolutearts about your show at the BoMA. That pleases me. In your statement you said the leaders come and go but the masses are always like sand on a beach or stones in a river. Life flows... and it seems the same with the work of a working artist, it transcends the ups and downs of our life's experience and continues its flow from our creative source. Good on you Walt.........Margaret

Hilary Allen Delage
Walter - your work is wonderful. I sat in my mother's living room today gazing at one of your early pieces. Thanks for all your help to create her scholarship. My best. - Hilary

margaret stone
Walt, books by their nature are interactive and your books are sensual, absolutely delicious like a magnificent desert that tempts one to consume it -- beyond the visual, perhaps then through touch... ~Margaret

Davinia
