Artwork Description:

In this illustration, I wanted to create a vibrantly colorful, fun landscape of fantasy. I began with depicting one of my favorite animals, the elephant, embellished in exotic decoration. I touch upon a love of travel, of the alluring nature of the exotic, of the excitement of exploration, and of the peace and serenity that accompany beauty and nature. I found inspiration in folk art, in photography of India, bohemian sensibilities, and of course, Monet s waterlilies. This painting is great for all ages, connecting us all to the curious wonderment that accompanies children and our inner child.
