Artist Statement

Spencer Rogers' paintings celebrate the notions of freedom, possibility and choices that are inherent in the complex process of creating abstractions. The artist's physical involvement with the work is central, and it's in this process where joy, freedom, and focus flourish. Action exists in art, regardless of medium, and is the basis of creation.
