Artwork Description:
First National Confederate Flag constructed and sculpted with over 2,100 toothpicks.
Each of the stars are also constructed of toothpicks. This piece is hand stained (NOT PAINTED)! I chose the name of this piece based on the reality that so much was lost as a result of the southern states leaving the Union in April of 1861 and continues to this day. The loss and struggle of basic human rights, respect, and dignity to this day for all people.
This piece took over 225-hours to sculpt and construct.
Ready to be hung or displayed on a wall.
